You were in Court in St. George! Whose side are you on?
Sunday, November 30th, 2008Yes, I was in court. I was issued a summons to appear in court on that day in St. George. That is the fourth time I have been commanded to appear in the State vs. UEP. I served many years as a trustee of the UEP, know of its history and I suppose that I would have been asked some historical questions about it. In four times no one has asked me one thing in court, which is not a complaint.
I was appointed a trustee in February of1986 by Uncle Roy. In March of 1986 I was administered the “covenant and promise” of a trustee of the UEP by the then secretary, Uncle Rulon Jeffs. President Leroy Johnson of the UEP Trust sent me to Uncle Rulon for that purpose at that time. I am very interested in what happens to the UEP and have been all of my life. As a trustee or once trustee of the UEP, in four court appearances I have never seen any of the other trustees there. When the judge dismissed all of the trustees of record a few years ago and appointed the special fiduciary I was the only one there. I was commanded to be there by publication in the local newspaper as were all the other trustees.
I am on the side of the UEP. Neither judges, prophets or fiduciary can cancel the sacred promise that I made that day long ago to spend my life building up the UEP. If Bruce Wisan was not appointed the special fiduciary it would have been someone else and that someone else would have been just as disliked as Mr. Wisan seems to be. To fight with Mr. Wisan will only deplete the UEP. To replace him won’t do any good either.
By the way, I really enjoyed going to court in St. George. I went to a great steakhouse twice with some of my dear friends, I looked at Brigham Young’s home, admired the Seven Wives Inn, (and remembered what it was like back then) went motorbike shopping with my dear boy Olin, gossiped with his mom and my niece, and for the first time in almost six years got to see my old brother Mac who was also in court. He looked good and I remembered lots of happy times with him. I saw Uncle Danny whom I have always admired, waded through a multitude of people I did not recognize and was treated with great respect by everyone. I met up with one of my daughters (still single by the way at twenty) and she travelled home with me to see her mom. I had a great time!
