Did you actually command Teresa Wall to marry Roy Blackmore?

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

No, I did not.  I don’t know who the lady is in New York that you mentioned either. Didn’t read the Brahmam book either.

Teresa Wall is a daughter of Lloyd Wall and Sharon Steed Wall. She had been to our country many times over the years. She had a sister that married my brother.  My involvement with Teresa was rather limited but it went like this.  It was upon the conclusion of a conference of our people in the south. As I always did, I stopped by to say good-bye to Uncle Rulon before heading for home. We filed through and I was last. Uncle Rulon asked me to stay a minute and then gave me this instruction.  ” I want you to go and find Teresa Wall and take her with you back to Canada. I want you to help her find a companion from one of the single young men in your community. She can choose from among them. When she decides then let me know.”

I don’t know what the list was that you refer to but the options for here were single young men. I know that we had a couple or maybe three at the time. I talked with her a couple of times about how she felt. She finally felt that she would like to marry Roy Blackmore, son of my brother and a fine good boy. I let Uncle Rulon know.

I wasn’t involved in their seperation nor do I know anymore about their lives.  Around New Years this year, when we were working on the sewer system, Roy came down to help with the fence. He had a couple children with him and he introduced me to them as his children. My memories of both of them are this: Teresa was a fine good girl and Roy was a fine good boy.

Letter to Kenya Aug. 10, 2005

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Hello friends of Kenya,

It has been sometime since I have had an opportunity to send you a note.  I will tell you that you are in our thoughts and our prayers are that the Lord will bless all those who are striving to serve Him and keep His
commandments.

Things are very hot and dry here.  We are working on getting school ready for the next year and it has meant some long days.  Most of the people are out working in their forest jobs, or are taking care of gardens in
preparation for the upcoming winter. We are all very busy.

Mother is well in spirit, but is still not able to use her arm and leg yet. She can speak but can’t hear.  She is a great example of patience and has maintained her faith and trust in God.  I feel so blest to have such a
mother as she is.  When she and father decided they were going to follow the fundamental teachings of the Prophet Joseph back in the 1940’s, they soon got excommunicated from the LDS Church.  The Stake President tried to get her to leave her husband(my father) but she wouldn’t do it.  Father died in
1974 but mother has stayed faithful to her fundamental Mormon faith.  She has been a great example.

I want that you give my best wishes and blessings to all the faithful parents.  Keep on doing the best that you can do and let the Lord bless you.
You young men  and women, and especially those who are struggling in their life, stay close and faithful and the Lord will bless you.  Be honest with yourself and be moral in your mind and body.  Those that have problems, get over them, go forward and don’t look backward.  If you need to make something right then do it, then look ahead and not backward.  This is the way that your life will become right again and the Lord will bless you for your faithfulness.

Help your friends, be trustworthy and diligent.  Remember to always say your prayers.  Remember that the great commandment is to love the Lord our God with all your heart, might, mind and strength, and like unto it, to love your neighbor as yourself.

Don’t quarrel over doctrine.  Read the Bible and Book of Mormon without trying to find a hidden meaning in them.  Read it as it is written, understand it as it is written and you won’t go far off  the mark.  Have some faith and confidence in the brethren and remind them by your works, that our faith is not about who is in charge, but it is about our obedience in keeping the commandments of God and faithfulness to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Dear friends, I feel to remind you that the gospel is unto all nations, kindreds, tongues and peoples.  Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise, for it is a trick of the devil to convince people that the saving grace of
Christ is for someone else and not for them.  He alone is the final judge, and He alone will know your hearts and lives.  That is why it is so important to do as He says.

Someday, sometime we will meet.  In the meantime, let us be patient and diligent and wait upon the promptings of the Lord.  May God bless you each and everyone. Stay faithful and diligent.

Your friend and fellow in the cause of the gospel,

Winston

”If anything should be done it is to talk to him and find out how it is possible to live with so many women . Most men have been married to only one or two women in our lifetime and we all know that there are lots of times we wish we wernt married at all . He knows something about living in harmony with women and it maybe could help society to find out just how he does it .”
I thought it was interesting.
So Winston any lessons on living in harmony with that many women?

My dear Boleved Winston Blackmore and Joseph Blackmore,

What a beautiful day. What a wonderful time to live and what a wonderful
time to be a member of the FLDS.
We must admit that our hearts beat alittle faster with spiritual emotion
as we read your beautiful letter of 8-10-2005 and sunk deep into our
hearts. How’s Anna mae? Everybody asking in our group. How are you Anna
mae? we are praying for you Anna. Your work is an inspiration. Her
christlike person has inspired our members.

We are prohibited by government from holding any meeting under trees.
But there is no chapel or rented a partment where we can hold weekly
meetings. The only place we can go is under trees. We are facing more
and more challenges. But religious freedom opens the door to even
religious (FLDS) minorities. Imagine how this groups must have felt! The
challenges is immediately.

Thank you for your deeply concerning of our groups folks in Kenya. We
felt someday soon Joseph Blackmore will visit our groups in Kenya E.
Africa. This work of FLDS in Kenya is the result of the work of the
families of Blackmore.

We have been so deeply touched by the love, photos and letters of Elise
Luella Blackmore. A sweet sister in Christ.

With Love.

Jairus and Many friends in Kenya.
